About the role#
The GuideWell IT Graduate Internship is a full-time, remote program for Summer 2027. This role offers students the chance to gain hands-on experience by working on real projects while receiving on-the-job training. You will be paired with a mentor and have regular access to tech leaders across the organization. The program concludes with a presentation to the Florida Blue CIO and Tech Vice Presidents.
What you'll do#
Interns work within specific tracks including Generative AI, Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Data Science, Application Development, and Business Analysis. Depending on your track, you will:
- Design, build, and deploy solutions to solve business problems.
- Maintain and secure information systems and company data.
- Develop and implement policies to protect technology assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve application defects.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
- Engage with executive leadership throughout the program.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Master degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Psychology, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Availability to work at least 30 hours per week.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Foundational programming knowledge, including experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or other Object-Oriented programming languages.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and creative approach to problem-solving.
