About the role#
Gresham Smith offers students the chance to build real-world skills during a Summer 2027 internship. You will work alongside experienced engineers to gain hands-on exposure to project design and delivery. This position is full-time, paid, and open to students requiring visa sponsorship including F-1, OPT, or H1-B holders.
What you'll do#
- Assist with engineering drawings, calculations, and project documentation.
- Support design tasks using software like Revit, Civil 3D, or MicroStation.
- Conduct research, gather data, and help prepare reports and cost estimates.
- Participate in site visits to observe project conditions and construction progress.
- Collaborate with team members to learn the project delivery process.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Exposure to engineering or design software is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team with curiosity and initiative.
- Effective time management, task prioritization, and professional organization.

- Compensation: $18.00 - $32.00 per hour, depending on your discipline, school year, and experience.
