About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside experienced technicians to maintain equipment and support facility operations. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections on equipment.
- Assist in diagnosing breakdowns in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and servo systems.
- Gain experience with fabrication, running conduit, pulling wire, and installing control systems.
- Apply your classroom knowledge to troubleshoot and program PLCs.
- Participate in general building maintenance and facility support tasks.
- Learn hygiene and tool accountability standards for food-grade paperboard packaging.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate degree program for Electro-Mechanical Technology, Automation, or a related technical field.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- A disciplined approach to safety, specifically regarding 480V equipment and work at heights.
- Ability to remain active throughout your shift, including lifting and working in various outdoor weather conditions.
- A strong desire to learn new tools, ask questions, and solve technical puzzles.
