About the role#
Graycor is looking for an Investment Analyst Intern to join our team in Chicago. This role focuses on real estate investments and strategic acquisitions. You will work alongside senior team members, contributing to business decisions and gaining hands-on experience in the investment sector.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate and track potential real estate investments, acquisition candidates, and strategic opportunities.
- Build and refine financial models to monitor investment performance and update stakeholders.
- Assist with financial analysis, valuations, and due diligence for new investments.
- Conduct market research on target investment sectors.
- Maintain deal flow records in CRM databases and prepare reports for portfolio analysis.
- Support portfolio companies by leveraging the firm's network.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and site visits as required.
- Provide general support to the investment team on various projects.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Mathematics, or be currently working toward one.
- A strong academic record in quantitative and verbal disciplines.
- MBA candidates are welcome to apply.
- Experience with financial modeling, market analysis, and valuation is helpful.
- Ability to write clear, concise reports.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with senior managers, clients, and executives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CRM software and basic knowledge of real estate investment tools.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- A metrics-driven, proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
