Tax Intern - Winter 2027

About the role#

As a Tax Intern during the Winter 2027 term, you will gain exposure to tax consulting and return preparation procedures. You will work as a member of an engagement team alongside partners, senior executives, and peers to perform tax research, tax planning, and the preparation of supporting work papers for various client engagements.

What you'll do#

• Review data input, identify and resolve technical tax issues, and assist in the review of tax preparations completed by the firm in India.
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities.
• Identify, research, and assess various tax issues while providing information to senior staff members.
• Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and strong professional relationships.
• Network with peers and participate in team-building exercises and community outreach.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated project management skills, including project planning and time management.
• Ability to work efficiently in a complex team environment.
• Willingness and ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Location: Houston, Texas.
• Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least two days per week at a firm office or client site).
• Status: Full-time, paid internship.
