About the role#
As an Audit & Assurance Intern for Summer 2027, you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside partners, senior executives, and peers as a member of an engagement team. You will be exposed to various audit procedures and client engagements across different industries while building professional relationships and participating in team-building activities.
What you'll do#
- Review and audit business transaction cycles, including cash, treasury, capital expenditures, and other income and expenses.
- Research audit issues, utilize electronic databases, and track financial information using audit-related software.
- Identify and assess audit-related issues and communicate findings to senior staff members.
- Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and maintain strong client relationships.
- Work closely with staff, managers, and partners on all phases of projects.
- Participate in team-building exercises, networking opportunities, and professional development discussions with a mentor.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and a demonstrated ability in project management, including planning and time management.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex team environment.
- Willingness and ability to work additional hours and travel to client sites as needed.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring in-person attendance at least two days per week at either a Grant Thornton office or a client site.
