Tax Intern - Winter 2027

About the role#

As a Tax Intern during the Winter 2027 term, you will gain exposure to tax procedures, including tax consulting and return preparation. You will work alongside partners, senior executives, and peers as part of an engagement team, performing tax research, planning, and preparing supporting work papers for various client projects.

What you'll do#

• Review data input, identify and resolve technical tax issues, and assist in reviewing tax preparations completed by the firm's India office.
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities.
• Identify, research, and assess tax issues while providing information to senior staff.
• Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and strong professional relationships.
• Connect with fellow interns and staff through social events, networking, and team-building activities.
• Meet with a mentor for regular feedback and professional development.

What you'll need#

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and a demonstrated ability in project management, planning, and time management.
• Ability to work efficiently in a complex team environment.
• Ability to travel to client sites and work additional hours as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.

• Location: Appleton, Wisconsin.
• Work Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least two days per week at a firm office or client site).
• Term: Winter 2027.
• Status: Paid, full-time internship.
