Tax Intern - Summer 2027

About the role#

As a Tax Intern during the Summer 2027 term, you will gain exposure to tax procedures, including tax consulting and return preparation. You will work alongside partners, senior executives, and peers as an active member of an engagement team. This role involves performing tax research, assisting with tax planning, and preparing supporting work papers for various client engagements and projects.

What you'll do#

• Review data input, identify and resolve technical tax issues, and assist in the review of tax preparations completed by the firm's international teams.
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities.
• Identify, research, and assess tax issues while providing findings to senior staff members.
• Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and maintain strong client relationships.
• Participate in team-building exercises, networking opportunities, and professional development discussions with mentors.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and a demonstrated ability in project management, including time management and project planning.
• Ability to work efficiently in a complex team environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client sites and work additional hours as needed.

• Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
• Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least two days per week at a firm office or client site).
• Status: Full-time internship.
• Compensation: This is a paid position.
