About the role#
As a Tax Intern during the Summer 2027 term, you will gain exposure to tax consulting and return preparation. You will work alongside partners, senior executives, and peers as an active member of an engagement team. This role involves tax research, tax planning, and the preparation of supporting work papers for a variety of client engagements across different industries.
What you'll do#
- Review data input, identify and resolve technical tax issues, and assist in the review of tax preparations completed by our firm in India.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities.
- Identify, research, and assess various tax issues while providing information to senior staff members.
- Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and strong client relationships.
- Network with peers, participate in team-building exercises, and attend social events.
- Meet with a mentor for regular feedback and professional development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- Minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated project management abilities, including project planning and time management.
- Ability to work efficiently in a complex team environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites and work additional hours as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Location & details#
- Location: Los Angeles, California.
- Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least two days per week at a firm office or client site).
- Compensation: $40.00 per hour.
- Term: Summer 2027.
