About the role#
As a Tax Intern during the Summer 2027 term, you will gain exposure to core tax procedures, including tax consulting, return preparation, and tax planning. You will work alongside partners, senior executives, and peers as an active member of the engagement team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in San Francisco, California.
What you'll do#
- Review data input, identify and resolve technical tax issues, and assist in the review of tax preparations completed by the firm in India.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities.
- Identify, research, and assess various tax issues while providing information to senior staff members.
- Work collaboratively with client team members to build rapport and strong client relationships.
- Connect with fellow interns and staff at social events and participate in team-building exercises.
- Work on a variety of client engagements across different industries.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and a demonstrated project management skillset, including project planning and time management.
- Ability to work efficiently in a complex team environment.
- Willingness and ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to client sites on short notice.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
