Tax Intern - Summer 2027

About the role#

During this Summer 2027 internship, you will gain exposure to tax procedures including consulting and return preparation. You will work alongside partners, senior executives, and peers as part of an engagement team, with opportunities to participate in office community activities and professional development discussions with a mentor.

What you'll do#

• Review data input, identify and resolve technical tax issues, and assist in the review of tax preparations completed by the firm’s international teams.
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities.
• Identify, research, and assess tax issues while providing information to senior staff.
• Work on a variety of client engagements across different industries.
• Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and strong professional relationships.
• Participate in team-building exercises, social events, and community outreach activities.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated project management abilities, including project planning and time management.
• Ability to work efficiently in a complex team environment.
• Willingness and ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to client sites on short notice.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Location: Tampa, Florida.
• Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least two days per week at a firm office or client site).
• Term: Summer 2027.
• Status: Full-time internship.
