Tax Intern

About the role#

As a Tax Intern during the Winter 2027 term, you will gain exposure to tax procedures, including tax consulting, planning, and return preparation. You will work alongside Partners, senior executives, and peers as a member of the engagement team to support various tax projects and client engagements.

What you'll do#

• Review data input and identify or resolve technical tax issues.
• Assist in the review of tax preparations completed by the firm's international offices.
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities.
• Identify, research, and assess tax issues while providing information to senior staff.
• Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and strong professional relationships.
• Participate in team-building exercises and networking opportunities.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated project management skills, including project planning and time management.
• Ability to work efficiently in a complex team environment.
• Willingness and ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to client sites on short notice.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
• Work Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least two days per week at a firm office or client site).
• Employment Type: Full-time internship.
• Compensation: This is a paid position.
