About the role#
As a Tax Intern during the Summer 2027 term, you will gain exposure to tax consulting and return preparation. You will work alongside partners, senior executives, and peers as part of an engagement team, participating in tax research, planning, and the preparation of supporting work papers for various client engagements.
What you'll do#
- Review data input and identify or resolve technical tax issues.
- Assist in the review of tax preparations completed by the firm’s international teams.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities.
- Research and assess tax issues while providing findings to senior staff.
- Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and strong professional relationships.
- Participate in team-building exercises and firm activities.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and a demonstrated ability to manage projects, including planning and time management.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex team environment.
- Willingness and ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to client sites on short notice.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Location & details#
- Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- Work Modality: This position follows a hybrid model, requiring in-person attendance at least two days per week at a firm office or client site.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
