Tax Intern

About the role#

As a Tax Intern during the Winter 2027 term, you will gain exposure to tax procedures, including consulting and return preparation. You will work alongside partners, senior executives, and peers as a member of an engagement team, with opportunities to conduct tax research, assist in tax planning, and prepare supporting work papers for various client engagements.

What you'll do#

• Review data input and identify or resolve technical tax issues.
• Assist in the review of tax preparations completed by the firm's international teams.
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities.
• Research and assess tax issues to provide information to senior staff.
• Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and strong professional relationships.
• Participate in office community activities, team-building exercises, and professional development discussions with a mentor.
• Manage assigned projects using effective planning and time management skills.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects, plan effectively, and work well within a complex team environment.
• Willingness and ability to work additional hours and travel to client sites as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Location & details#

• Location: Reno, Nevada.
• Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least two days per week at a firm office or client site).
• Compensation: $37.00 per hour.
