Audit & Assurance Intern - Winter 2027

About the role#

As an Audit & Assurance Intern for the Winter 2027 term, you will gain exposure to audit procedures across various business areas, including cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payrolls, and expense analysis. You will work alongside partners, senior executives, and peers as a member of the engagement team. This role offers opportunities to learn new skill sets, participate in office community activities, and build professional relationships.

What you'll do#

• Review and audit business transaction cycles, including cash, treasury, capital expenditures, and other income and expenses.
• Research audit issues using electronic databases and track financial information using audit-related software.
• Identify and assess audit-related issues and inform senior staff members accordingly.
• Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Work closely with staff, managers, and partners on all phases of project engagements.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and a demonstrated ability in project management, including project planning and time management.
• Ability to work efficiently in a complex team environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel to various client sites on short notice and work additional hours as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Work Modality: This position follows a hybrid model requiring in-person attendance at least two days per week at a Grant Thornton office or client site.
