Audit & Assurance Intern - Winter 2027

About the role#

As an Audit & Assurance Intern for Winter 2027, you will gain hands-on experience with audit procedures across various business areas, including cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payroll, and expense analysis. You will work directly with partners, senior executives, and peers as an active member of engagement teams. This role provides opportunities to develop technical skills, participate in office community activities, and build professional relationships.

What you'll do#

• Review and audit business transaction cycles, such as cash, treasury, capital expenditures, and other income and expenses.
• Research audit issues using electronic databases and track financial information with audit-related software.
• Identify and assess audit-related issues and communicate findings to senior staff.
• Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Participate in community outreach activities and team-building exercises.
• Work on a variety of client engagements across different industries.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and project management capabilities, including planning and time management.
• Ability to work efficiently in a complex team environment.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and work additional hours as necessary.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.

• Modality: This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring in-person attendance at least two days per week at either a Grant Thornton office or a client site.
