Audit & Assurance Intern - Summer 2027

About the role#

As an Audit & Assurance Intern for Summer 2027, you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside partners, senior executives, and peers as part of an engagement team. This role offers exposure to various audit procedures and the opportunity to build professional relationships within the firm. You will work on a variety of client engagements across different industries and participate in community outreach, team-building, and professional development activities.

What you'll do#

• Review and audit business transaction cycles, including cash, treasury, capital expenditures, and other income and expenses.
• Research audit issues using electronic databases and track financial information through audit-related software.
• Identify and assess audit-related issues and inform senior staff members.
• Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and strong professional relationships.
• Work closely with staff, managers, and partners across all phases of project lifecycles.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated project management skills, including time management and planning.
• Ability to work effectively in a complex team environment.
• Willingness and ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites on short notice.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Location: Raleigh, North Carolina.
• Work Modality: Hybrid, requiring in-person attendance at least two days per week at a firm office or client site.
• Term: Summer 2027.
• Status: Full-time internship.
