About the role#
As an Audit & Assurance Intern for Summer 2026, you will gain hands-on experience with audit procedures across various business transaction cycles. You will work directly with engagement teams, including partners and senior executives, to support client projects across diverse industries. This role offers the opportunity to develop professional skills through mentorship, team-building activities, and community outreach.
What you'll do#
- Review and audit business transaction cycles, including cash, treasury, capital expenditures, and other income and expenses.
- Research audit issues using electronic databases and track financial information via audit software.
- Identify, assess, and report audit-related issues to senior staff.
- Collaborate with client team members to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Network with peers and participate in professional development discussions with your mentor.
- Travel to various client sites and work additional hours as necessary to meet project demands.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated project management abilities, including time management and planning.
- Ability to work effectively within a complex team environment.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

- Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: Hybrid. In-person attendance is required at least two days per week at a firm office or client site.
