Audit & Assurance Intern

About the role#

As an Audit & Assurance Intern for Summer 2027, you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside partners, senior executives, and peers as part of an engagement team. You will be exposed to various audit procedures and client engagements across different industries, providing you with a foundation in professional services.

What you'll do#

• Review and audit business transaction cycles, including cash, treasury, capital expenditures, and other income and expenses.
• Research audit issues using electronic databases and track financial information using specialized audit software.
• Identify, assess, and communicate audit-related issues to senior staff.
• Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and strong professional relationships.
• Work closely with staff, managers, and partners throughout all phases of client projects.
• Meet with a mentor for regular feedback and professional development discussions.
• Participate in team-building exercises and office community activities.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and project management abilities, including time management.
• Ability to work effectively within a complex team environment.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and work additional hours as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
• Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least two days per week at a company office or client site).
• Term: Summer 2027.
