About the role#
This position supports construction engineering operations to ensure all work meets engineering standards. You will work on-site in Sparks, Nevada, as part of a rolling internship program. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Interpret designs and drawings for project bidding and construction.
- Prepare status reports, punch lists, and sketches of completed work.
- Provide technical support regarding project materials, delivery dates, and construction schedules.
- Assist with change orders and estimates by preparing drawings and sketches.
- Develop data including quantity take-offs and material pricing.
- Track quantities for work performed and materials installed to assist with cost controls.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program, preferably in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in construction estimating, engineering, or field support.
- Proficiency with MS Office products.
- Ability to perform trigonometric calculations.
- Valid driver license and ability to drive.
- Commitment to corporate safety initiatives and the Company Code of Conduct.
- Ability to work effectively with others as a team player.
Location & details#
- Location: Sparks, Nevada.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds. You will work in outside conditions around construction equipment.
