The Ministry of Technology & Innovation is seeking students for temporary positions within the divisions of Data and Content Management, Digital Design and Delivery, and Technology Support and Operations. These roles offer opportunities to gain experience in data management, governance, architecture, product delivery, and literacy. You will work in a team-based environment focused on improving services for Albertans.
What you'll do#
- Understand the decision-making processes, workflows, and business needs of the AI Center of Excellence.
- Translate business requirements into analytics and reporting to support executive decision-making.
- Research and implement machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence techniques to improve data analysis efficiency.
- Support Product and Platforms teams with front-end and back-end software development.
- Assist in developing enterprise content, technology, and privacy management policies.
- Contribute to government artificial intelligence programs, including robotic process automation.
- Visualize data and develop reports to share findings with stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary institution for September 2026 or graduation within the last six months.
- A two-year technical diploma in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Management Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience with research, model building, data collection, and analysis.
- Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Knowledge of designing, programming, and implementing large, complex information systems.
- Ability to work independently with strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada and residency in Alberta during the work term.

- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (36.25 hours per week).
- Compensation: Paid position.
