About the role#
This student position is located within the Direction de la Montérégie at the Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation. You will work with a team focused on regional development and bio-food production. The role involves supporting projects related to biodiversity, geomatics, and climate change.
What you'll do#
Your primary responsibility is to organize the census of developments that favor biodiversity. You will:
- Collaborate with agronomists to identify locations for mapping.
- Research and validate relevant information.
- Enter mapping data into designated platforms.
- Perform data processing using Info-Sol.
What you'll need#
- You are currently in your 3rd year of a DEC in Geomatics Technology, Natural Environment Techniques, Bioecology, Horticultural and Agro-environmental Production, Animal Production, Agricultural Business Management, or a related field.
- You are enrolled full-time for the Winter 2027 session, or part-time if you are in your final or penultimate session.
- You are legally authorized to work in Canada.
- You possess autonomy, curiosity, and rigor.
- You have an interest in office work and skills with the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- Knowledge of Info-Sol is an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Schedule: 14 hours per week during the study session, with adjustments for reading weeks and the holiday break.
- Modality: On-site and hybrid options are available based on organizational guidelines.
