About the role#
As a SiGe HBT Device Modelling Intern, you will join our RF device modeling team. You will focus on building modeling capabilities for advanced SiGe HBT devices. This position involves applying principles of device physics and working with the HiCUM L2 V3.0 industry standard model to create compact models for RF applications. You will also compare modeling effects, such as avalanche at high current densities and non-quasistatic phenomena, against measurement data.
What you'll do#
- Analyze measurement data for DC and RF characteristics.
- Develop HiCUM L2 V3.0 based compact models for HBT devices.
- Extract compact model parameters for advanced device physics.
- Create procedures to incorporate new physical effects into compact models.
- Present your findings to the technical team at the end of the project.
- Maintain safe work practices and support all environmental, health, and security programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a second-year graduate student.
- Pursuit of a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
