About the role#
The CMOS FEOL Reliability Engineering Intern will support the Fab 8 Reliability Engineering organization. You will assess semiconductor device reliability performance across advanced technology platforms. This role involves evaluating reliability test data, investigating degradation mechanisms, and improving qualification and monitoring methodologies. You will work alongside teams in Device Engineering, Process Integration, Product Engineering, Yield Engineering, and the Reliability Laboratory.
What you'll do#
- Learn semiconductor device reliability fundamentals, including HCI, BTI, TDDB, GOI, and PRM.
- Support reliability qualification and monitoring activities for advanced CMOS technologies.
- Analyze wafer-level reliability (WLR) and fast wafer-level reliability (FWLR) test data.
- Develop automated data-analysis, reporting, dashboard, and visualization solutions.
- Perform data mining, trend analysis, and historical PRM correlation analysis to identify factors influencing long-term reliability.
- Develop advanced statistical monitoring methods to improve excursion detection.
- Prepare reliability assessment documentation, engineering reports, and technical presentations.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore, pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related field.
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and good academic standing.
- English fluency in both written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative engineering environment.
