    About the role#

    We are looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Equipment Engineering Intern to join our team in Essex Junction, Vermont. This role is for students currently in their sophomore year of a bachelor's degree program. You will work on the fab floor to resolve equipment and process issues. You will also lead an intern project to completion and present your results at an end of year poster session.

    What you'll do#

    • Drive continuous improvement efforts to support throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning.
    • Define and maintain equipment installation roadmaps and process qualifications.
    • Collaborate with process engineers on equipment planning, selection, and configuration.
    • Lead the installation, startup, and volume ramp of process equipment.
    • Design, execute, and analyze experiments to optimize equipment for technology and manufacturing targets.
    • Perform hands-on, tactical troubleshooting to resolve long-term performance issues.
    • Deconstruct and understand complex systems.
    • Work with integration and process engineering teams to support next-generation technology development.
    • Support technology transfer to other fabrication sites.
    • Perform all activities in a safe manner, adhering to all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements.

    What you'll need#

    • Sophomore standing at the time of application.
    • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
    • English fluency in both written and verbal communication.
    • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
    • Prior related internship or co-op experience is preferred.
    • Project management, planning, and organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Design of Experiments (DOE).
    • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
