Welding Co-Op - 3rd Shift

About the role#

This co-op position provides hands-on welding experience within a fabrication shop environment while you complete your education. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role located in North Baltimore, Ohio, operating on the 3rd shift. Hours are flexible between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM to accommodate your school schedule.

What you'll do#

• Interpret blueprints, follow weld procedures, and take measurements to plan layouts.
• Weld small and large components in flat and horizontal positions.
• Pass the 2G FCAW weld certification.
• Operate overhead cranes to move materials.
• Maintain welding tools and ensure all necessary materials are available for production.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and kneeling for the duration of the shift, with occasional lifting of up to 60 lbs.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma or currently in the process of obtaining one.
• 0-1 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
• Current welding certificates.
• Strong mechanical inclination and advanced blueprint interpretation skills.
• Proficiency in math.
• Ability to demonstrate agility, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Pursuing a major in Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering.
