CNC Co-Op - 2nd Shift

About the role#

This is a 2nd shift CNC Co-Op position located in North Baltimore, Ohio. The role is on-site and offers a flexible schedule between 4:00 PM and 2:00 AM, which can be adjusted to accommodate your school schedule.

What you'll do#

• Set up and operate a variety of CNC machinery, including mills and lathes.
• Determine necessary fixtures, attachments, and tools for jobs and prepare them prior to machining.
• Modify machine speed, tooling, and cutting styles to ensure precision and accuracy.
• Review and interpret blueprints and CNC programs, providing input on potential process improvements.
• Oversee the machining process, adjust for errors, and monitor tool life, replacing inserts and coolant as needed.
• Collaborate with machinists, supervisors, and planners to ensure project consistency.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and uniformity.
• Perform daily cleaning and monthly maintenance, including lubrication and tool replacement, to ensure machine longevity.

What you'll need#

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current enrollment in a trade school or college program related to CNC machining.
• 0-1 years of experience operating CNC machines.
• Knowledge of programming and interpreting CNC software.
• Ability to read blueprints and use CNC tooling gauges.
• Proficiency with hand tools and CNC tooling.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to being a team player.
• Excellent attendance record.
