About the role#
We are looking for a Structural Engineering Intern to join our team in Tampa. You will assist with the design, evaluation, and implementation of structures for water and wastewater infrastructure, industrial projects, and government facilities. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine engineering assignments under the guidance of senior staff.
- Run design calculations, create sketches, and perform technical comparisons.
- Review and edit project specifications.
- Prepare and update designs and drawings as recommended by Project Engineers.
- Research code and regulatory requirements.
- Document design options and component specifications.
- Respond to contractor questions and prepare alternate designs.
- Analyze and design retrofits for new and existing utilities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program focused on Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with modeling and design software.
- Previous internship experience is helpful but not required.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Tampa, Florida.
- We operate on a hybrid work model, requiring three days per week in the office.
