GHD is offering a paid internship program for students and recent graduates who self-identify as members of Indigenous communities. This role provides professional experience and mentorship within a multidisciplinary consulting environment, focusing on projects across environment, transportation, water, architecture, and construction inspection sectors.
What you'll do#
- Assist with client, contractor, and internal communications, including the preparation of reports, presentations, and meeting records.
- Participate in project-related site visits and field work to support project understanding.
- Conduct research related to ongoing projects.
- Prepare documentation such as funding applications, project progress reports, completion reports, and memorandums.
- Provide support for project administrative tasks.
- Participate in design and project team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a post-secondary program, or an equivalent combination of education and work/life experience.
- Preference for candidates in engineering, science, or architecture, including majors in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
- Demonstrated interest in science, engineering, architecture, construction, or the environment through work, education, or volunteer experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Preference is given to Indigenous candidates (First Nations – status or non-status, Métis, and Inuit).
