About the role#
GHD is offering a paid internship program for students who self-identify as members of Indigenous communities. This position provides professional experience and mentorship within a multidisciplinary consulting environment, focusing on projects in environment, transportation, water, architecture, and construction inspection. You will contribute to infrastructure and environmental projects for public and private sector clients across Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Assist with client, contractor, and internal communications, including the preparation of reports, presentations, and meeting records.
- Participate in project-related site visits and field work to support project understanding.
- Conduct research related to ongoing projects.
- Prepare documentation such as funding applications, project progress reports, completion reports, and project memorandums.
- Provide support for project administrative tasks.
- Participate in design and project team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a post-secondary program, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Preference for candidates in engineering, science, or architecture.
- Demonstrated interest in science, engineering, architecture, construction, or the environment through work, education, or volunteer experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Preference will be given to Indigenous candidates, including First Nations (status or non-status), Métis, and Inuit.
