About the role#
GHD is hiring an Indigenous Engineer Intern or co-op student to work on projects across environment, transportation, water, architecture, and construction inspection. This paid internship provides experience in a consulting environment, mentorship, and exposure to multidisciplinary team projects. The program is designed for students who self-identify as members of Indigenous communities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with communications for clients, contractors, and internal teams by preparing reports, presentations, and meeting records.
- Participate in site visits and field work to support project understanding.
- Conduct research for project requirements.
- Prepare documentation such as funding applications, progress reports, and project memorandums.
- Support administrative tasks and attend design and project team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a post-secondary program, or equivalent work and life experience.
- Preference for candidates studying engineering, science, or architecture.
- Demonstrated interest in science, engineering, construction, or the environment through education, work, or volunteer roles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver's licence.
- Preference is given to Indigenous candidates, including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit individuals.
