About the role#
We are looking for Geotechnical Engineering Interns to join our team for the summer of 2027. This position offers hands-on experience in the geotechnical engineering industry while working alongside an experienced team.
What you'll do#
- Assist technical staff with field and lab testing of construction materials such as soils, asphalt, and concrete.
- Support engineers with geotechnical fieldwork, soil classification, and lab testing.
- Produce accurate reports by collecting data from standard sources.
- Contribute to well proposals by analyzing and interpreting geological and geophysical field data.
- Help senior colleagues collect and analyze data through routine reservoir characterization tasks.
- Contribute to the development and feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions.
- Use data management systems to access project information.
- Research and suggest technical improvements for software, portals, and infrastructure.
- Create content, best practices, and case studies to share knowledge.
- Participate in assessment and development planning activities.
- Support project management and research activities.
- Assist with technical troubleshooting for equipment and experiments.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of exploration plans.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education.

- Location: Bluffton, South Carolina.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (in-office three days per week).
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Status: Full-time and paid internship.
