About the role#
We are looking for an Environmental Science Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside project managers, engineers, geologists, and scientists to implement solutions across areas like air quality, solid waste, and remediation. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Write reports and manage project data.
- Maintain field equipment.
- Participate in soil and groundwater sampling.
- Support the installation of monitoring wells.
- Assist with the operations and maintenance of remediation systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field.
- A desire to learn on the job and apply academic theory to practical settings.
- A motivated mindset and a willingness to learn.
- The initiative to identify ways to assist staff with tasks of any size.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Decatur, Alabama.
- We operate on a hybrid work model, requiring you to be in the office three days per week.
