About the role#
As an Interior Design Intern, you will work as an active member of our creative team. You will contribute to projects of various sizes while gaining hands-on experience and mentorship. This role involves supporting the design process from concept through completion, including material sampling, palette development, and documentation. We are looking for a student who is eager to learn and ready to support our designers and project managers.
What you'll do#
- Assist the design team throughout the entire design process.
- Participate in brainstorm sessions and project team meetings.
- Conduct programming efforts, space planning, and furniture layouts.
- Help select materials, lighting, appliances, furniture, and accessories.
- Maintain and assist within the Materials Library.
- Prepare presentations, conceptual drawings, sketches, and 3D renderings.
- Stay current on industry standards and best practices.
- Perform other related interior design duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program for Interior Architecture or Interior Design.
- Completion of at least two years of coursework in an interior design program.
- Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, SketchUp, Enscape, and Twin Motion.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and take initiative on individual tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
