About the role#
Ghafari Associates is hiring an Electrical Engineering intern for the summer of 2027. You will work under the direction of discipline managers and project engineers to generate engineering design documents, digital models, and databases. This is a full-time, on-site position based in either Dearborn, Michigan, or Birmingham, Alabama.
What you'll do#
- Create engineering documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Collaborate with engineers to define project scope and design data needs.
- Provide limited design input and detail documents based on engineer feedback.
- Make corrections and produce final documents for review.
- Check for integration of sections and coordinate across disciplines.
- Resolve document coordination and production problems.
- Produce 3D drawings and digital design models.
- Reproduce documents as requested.
- Use team-oriented problem solving to complete assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Completion of at least two years of coursework.
- Working proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with AGI32, Visual, ETAP, SKM, and EasyPower.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative and follow direction.
