About the role#
Genesis Energy, L.P. is hiring an intern for a 6-month term to assist our IT department. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Houston. The term may extend depending on business needs and your performance.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and computer systems.
- Respond to IT inquiries and incidents via email, phone, and in person.
- Guide remote users through troubleshooting procedures.
- Provision and deploy IT equipment including laptops, desktops, printers, and scanners.
- Install peripherals and configure software for users.
- Manage inventory tracking for IT assets, systems, and software licenses.
What you'll need#
- Currently a college Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, MIS, or a related IT field.
- High School Diploma.
- Working knowledge of Windows 11 and enterprise desktop applications.
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs of equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills for a structured work environment.
- IT technical courses or certifications are a plus.
