About the role#
This internship focuses on the Business Continuity Disaster Recovery program at General Dynamics Electric Boat. You will gain practical experience in emergency management, business continuity planning, and business impact analysis while working alongside professionals in the defense industry.
What you'll do#
- Support Emergency Management planning initiatives.
- Assist with Business Continuity Planning tasks.
- Conduct Business Impact Analysis.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to solve problems.
- Use the MS Office suite to complete daily assignments.
What you'll need#
- You must have participated in the Electric Boat 2026 Internship or Co-op Program.
- You must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- You must commit to a minimum of 3 weeks between December 1, 2026, and January 31, 2027. Note that the holiday shutdown period from December 24, 2026, through January 4, 2027, is excluded.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- You should be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, on-site internship for Winter 2027.
- You may be assigned to work at locations in Groton, CT, North Stonington, CT, New London, CT, or North Kingstown, RI.
- You will need to provide your own reliable transportation and housing for the duration of the assignment.
