    About the role#

    This internship provides undergraduate students with exposure to the federal legislative process within the defense and aerospace industry. You will work with the Government Relations team to learn about Congressional authorization and appropriations, while gaining experience in PAC management and federal regulations.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the Government Relations team with daily ad-hoc projects.
    • Monitor congressional meetings and hearings.
    • Research department topics using news services like Politico.
    • Review the President’s Budget request, Congressional bills, and report language.
    • Assist with political events hosted by the company at our Washington, DC facilities.
    • Collaborate with lobbyists and staff members.
    • Help with administrative functions related to PAC management and federal regulations.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as an undergraduate at Ohio State University within the Washington Academic Internship Program (WAIP).
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
    • A desire to learn about the defense and aerospace industry.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Washington, District of Columbia.
    • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $25 per hour.
