About the role#
General Dynamics Mission Systems is hiring a System Engineering Intern to join our team in Manassas. This role offers the chance to apply your academic knowledge to programs supporting national defense services. You will work alongside experienced colleagues on technical projects that contribute to our core mission.
What you'll do#
- Apply classroom skills to programs that support the defense of the country.
- Collaborate with teams on various technical projects.
- Contribute to solutions that help customers execute national security missions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program for Computer, Systems, Software, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related technical discipline).
- Preference for students with sophomore standing or higher.
- A thorough understanding of engineering technology, concepts, principles, and technical standards.
- Experience using Large Language Model APIs and other Machine Learning technologies.
- Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly.
- Commitment to professional development.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

- This position is 100% on-site at our Manassas, Virginia facility.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
