About the role#
General Dynamics Mission Systems is hiring a Software Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will apply your classroom knowledge to programs that support national defense services. This role involves working within collaborative teams on technical projects and learning from experienced colleagues.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to projects that support the defense of the country.
- Collaborate with technical teams on core mission projects.
- Develop your engineering skills alongside a group of experienced professionals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A thorough understanding of engineering technology.
- Sophomore standing or higher is preferred.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, as you will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship located on-site in Manassas, Virginia.
- The pay range for this position is $22.00 to $29.00 per hour.
