About the role#
This is a 12-week, full-time paid internship within the Pharmaceutical Technical Development group. You will work on-site in South San Francisco to support the development and delivery of production methods for innovative therapeutics. You will own business-critical projects and present your work to senior leaders at the end of the program.
What you'll do#
- Apply programming, machine learning, and AI skills to digital projects.
- Build full-stack software applications and data science models.
- Create interactive, web-based tools for data visualization.
- Perform synthetic lipid modeling with in-silico simulations.
- Develop information databases and electronic laboratory notebook schemas.
- Conduct in-silico protein stability studies.
- Work toward generating data insights that support drug development and patient delivery.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program with at least two years completed, or a bachelor's degree earned within the last two years (and not currently enrolled in a graduate program).
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full 12-week duration.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields.
- Detail-oriented, self-directed approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Alignment with the values of Integrity, Courage, and Passion.
Location & details#
- Location: South San Francisco, California.
- Term: Summer 2027 (start dates in May and June).
- Pay: $28.00 to $34.00 per hour, plus a $2500 stipend and paid holiday time off.
- Modality: On-site.
