About the role#
This internship position focuses on Lean and process optimization within the Product Lifecycle Program Management team. You will support the business by identifying and removing operational inefficiencies. By applying Lean methodologies to internal workflows, you will help the organization deliver product commitments with greater consistency.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Lifecycle Program Managers to find operational bottlenecks and build Lean solutions.
- Document Standard Work to ensure consistency and reduce duplicated effort across development initiatives.
- Create standardized workflows to help engineering and commercial teams communicate more effectively.
- Review program data to find ways to reduce cycle times while keeping technical goals aligned with overall strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with at least two years of college completed.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft tools like Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with project planning software such as Smartsheet.
- Experience with or academic exposure to Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, or complex program planning.
- Ability to connect specific project tasks to broader business and customer goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Prior internship experience in project, program, or process improvement roles.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver license and reliable transportation.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site at our facility in Longmont, Colorado.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- This role requires you to work on-site in Longmont for the duration of the internship.
