    About the role#

    This internship is a full-time position for Summer 2027 based in Salem, Virginia. You will join the Product Development team to gain experience in the Electrical and Grid Lifecycle Subsystem. This role is designed for students seeking to build skills in power conversion, controls, and electronics design.

    What you'll do#

    • Design and develop wind turbine Blade Pitch control systems and Power Converter systems.
    • Perform full-scale testing of megawatt-level power conversion equipment in a hands-on lab environment.
    • Create schematics and drawings for custom build-to-print hardware, including cabinets and circuit boards.
    • Contribute to functional areas such as Electrical Systems Design, Firmware Engineering, Controls Engineering, or Lab Validation.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate engineering program at an ABET accredited university.
    • Status as a rising undergraduate senior or a graduating master’s candidate.
    • Majors accepted include Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering.
    • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.

    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship.
