About the role#
The GCC internship offers a hands-on look at how a farmer-owned cooperative functions. You will work across our Grain, Agronomy, Petroleum, and Administration divisions to build professional skills and understand our operations. We pair you with mentors and provide opportunities to engage with senior leadership. You will also use industry-specific software and tools throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Complete professional development and project-based work during the Spring 2027 phase.
- Gain practical experience across various company divisions during the Summer 2027 phase.
- Work on tasks that build your professional capabilities.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Comfort using technology.
- A detail-oriented, curious, and eager approach to learning.
- While an agricultural background is helpful, it is not required.
Location & details#
- The program runs in two phases: Winter 2027 (Remote) and Summer 2027 (On-site in Garden City, Kansas).
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- We do not provide sponsorship for this role.

Garden City Co-op is a member-owned farmer cooperative based in Southwestern Kansas. It operates 19 locations across the western part of the state. The business provides grain handling, crop production, petroleum supply, and transportation services. It was founded in 1919.
