About the role#
Garda Capital Partners is hiring a Trading Assistant Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This role is based in our Wayzata, Minnesota office and operates on-site. You will gain exposure to the full end-to-end trade operations process within a global hedge fund.
What you'll do#
- Shadow Trading Assistants to learn daily responsibilities, including booking trades and communicating with portfolio managers.
- Research current capital markets topics using Bloomberg and other resources.
- Present research findings to the investment team and executive committee.
- Build your understanding of fixed-income products like bonds, futures, and swaps.
- Attend meetings with the investment team to learn about firm strategies.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit or completion of a Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in investment management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Bloomberg Terminal is preferred.
- Strong numerical and verbal reasoning skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work with independence and initiative.
- A drive for results and the flexibility to manage changing priorities.
- Ability to navigate complex or ambiguous situations.
