About the role#
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside experienced professionals on a variety of projects. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in mechanical system design while receiving mentorship from our engineering staff. This is a paid, full-time, hybrid position.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on client projects.
- Work with engineers to understand project requirements and propose solutions.
- Perform engineering calculations and design system layouts, including piping and ductwork.
- Handle equipment sizing and coordinate between trades.
- Review and modify designs based on project needs.
- Participate in field survey work.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, such as design specifications, reports, and technical drawings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
- Demonstrated interest in mechanical engineering careers within the A/E/C industry.
- Basic proficiency with Revit 3D or equivalent software.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivation and a desire to learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge or experience in heat transfer and fluid thermodynamics.
- Previous internship or related experience in mechanical engineering is preferred.
- Participation in professional associations, on-campus groups, or community service is a plus.

- Location: Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Mid-May through mid-August 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment Status: Hourly, full-time.
- Salary: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
- Requirements: Successful completion of a criminal background check.
