About the role#
As a Software Engineering Co-op, you will contribute to the design, development, and testing of software products and tools for NxStage Medical. You will work on a variety of assignments, including embedded software development, Windows and Linux tools, and scripting projects. This is a full-time, paid position based in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
What you'll do#
- Write new functionality and create the necessary documentation and unit tests.
- Debug new designs and work on reliability improvements for existing and new systems.
- Ensure all development, analysis, and testing activities follow design controls and are documented properly.
- Handle other engineering tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in Java and C/C++.
- Familiarity with Objective C, C#/.net, or asp.net is preferred.
- Experience with embedded programming is preferred.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, design, and implementation.
- Understanding of project lifecycles, software development environments, and source control techniques.
- Analytical and design skills.
