IT Support Intern

About the role#

The IT Support Intern will assist in maintaining seamless IT operations by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. This role involves supporting system maintenance, managing user accounts, and documenting technical solutions. This is a part-time, on-site internship for the Fall 2026 term, running from September through December 2026.

What you'll do#

• Manage IT tickets by troubleshooting basic issues, documenting solutions, and escalating complex problems.
• Provide timely follow-ups with end users regarding open tickets and communicate resolutions.
• Help create and deploy system images for hardware setups.
• Maintain and organize inventory records for IT assets, including computers, peripherals, and software licenses.
• Assist with the offboarding process by deactivating accounts, backing up data, and tracking company assets.
• Follow established IT processes and contribute to internal and user-facing documentation.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Windows OS.
• Familiarity with imaging tools and inventory management software.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure is considered a plus.

• Location: Austin, Texas.
• Term: Fall 2026 (September through December).
• Commitment: Part-time, 20 to 25 hours per week.
• Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: This is a paid internship.
