Accounting Intern

About the role#

Four Hands is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join the team for the Fall 2026 term. This part-time, on-site internship provides hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment, working alongside experienced staff to support financial operations and reporting.

What you'll do#

• Gain hands-on exposure to the full sales and use tax lifecycle using Avalara.
• Manage customer credit applications within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Assist in responding to customer requests by gathering and providing required documentation.
• Support invoice processing, research discrepancies, and help troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure compliance within the procurement system by reviewing processes and documentation.
• Review cost center expenses to identify trends and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare account reconciliations using Blackline for review.
• Participate in the month-end close process to gain insight into financial reporting cycles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help build efficient, scalable processes.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing an accounting degree.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Exposure to Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Experience with PowerBI or Tableau.

• Location: Austin, Texas.
• Term: Fall 2026 (September through December).
• Schedule: Part-time (20 to 25 hours per week).
• Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: This is a paid internship.
