About the role#
As a Billing Intern in our Healthcare group, you will support long-term healthcare clients with their monthly accounts receivable and billing operations. You will work with a team to navigate multiple software systems, ensuring that claims are prepared and billed correctly to Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payers. This role requires a balance of independent work and team collaboration while maintaining a focus on client communication.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and bill claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers.
- Maintain accounts receivable aging reports.
- Post payments to patient accounts and perform reconciliations.
- Assist clients with billing questions and regulatory matters.
- Communicate with internal teams and clients to provide responsive service.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team setting.
- A problem-solving attitude and high attention to detail.
- Background in healthcare accounting, medical billing, or accounts receivable is helpful.
- Must have reliable transportation for commuting to the office and attending off-site meetings.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
