About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program running from June 1, 2027, through August 6, 2027. You will work within the Investment Analytics team to support the development and monitoring of asset strategies. Interns contribute to meaningful projects that impact the business and gain insight into the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Calculate cashflows, risk metrics, and analytics for structured and other investment assets.
- Develop quantitative tools and models to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with Investment Managers to support portfolio strategies and recommendations.
- Participate in due diligence on potential asset acquisitions.
- Support the onboarding of new reinsurance deals and asset managers, including data validation and portfolio setup.
- Provide operational support for portfolios through transaction monitoring and reconciliations.
- Prepare compliance and performance reports to ensure adherence to investment guidelines.
- Maintain data quality across investment systems and resolve discrepancies.
- Create presentation materials for senior management regarding performance, risk, and strategy.
- Build and enhance automated dashboards and reporting processes to track portfolio positions and activity.
What you'll need#
- Status as a rising senior pursuing a bachelor or master degree in finance, economics, computer science, or investments.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to present effectively to senior management.
- Willingness to work towards a CFA designation is preferred.
- Relevant work experience for master degree candidates.
- Familiarity with R, MatLab, or Bloomberg is a plus.
