About the role#
The Internal Audit intern will join the team to provide independent and objective assurance and advice. You will gain hands-on experience by executing services that support the company in achieving its operational, financial, and compliance objectives. This internship is based in our Nashville office and runs for 10 weeks, from June 1, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the execution of audits.
- Support the testing of SOX and ICFR controls.
- Validate that the company operates in a controlled environment through audit fieldwork and analysis.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls using a risk-based methodology.
- Recommend and develop new approaches and solutions for audit processes.
- Follow up on previously identified audit issues and test resolution documentation to verify closure.
- Help the team communicate audit results and key messages to various stakeholders.
- Advise on emerging industry or regulatory topics that may impact audit coverage.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising senior pursuing a degree in Accounting, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- You will graduate between November 2027 and June 2028.
- You have demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement.
- You possess strong analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills.
- You are enthusiastic about the internal audit profession.
